This recipe takes some of the best parts of a pizza and turns it into a pasta bake! An easy crowd-pleasing one pot meal that the whole family will love!
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 oz. spicy Italian sausage
1/2 cup mini pepperoni
1 jar Grandpa Pete’s Marinara or Meat Flavored Sauce
8 oz. rotini pasta
1/8 tsp oregano
1/4 cup parmesan or Romano cheese
Salt & pepper to taste
1 cup shredded mozzarella
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
Over medium heat, heat olive oil in large oven-proof skillet.
Add Italian sausage, crumble and cook until browned. Drain.
Stir in 1/4 cup pepperoni and heat through.
Stir in 3/4 jar of Grandpa Pete’s Marinara or Meat Flavored Sauce, pasta, and 1 1/2 cups water; add salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer until pasta is cooked.
Remove from heat, top with 1/4 jar of remaining sauce, mozzarella, and remaining pepperoni.
Place in oven and cook until melted and golden brown.
Garnish with parsley.
